Never Fail

The Unchanging Word of a Faithful God
SCRIPTURE:
Mark 13:31 CSB - "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
OBSERVATION:
In this chapter, we see Jesus telling His disciples what would happen at the end of all things. Amid this teaching, there is a strong reminder of His faithfulness.
Often, when people read these verses, they are filled with fear and trepidation. This was not the intended result. These verses were meant to instill a sense of stability and confidence that God truly is in control and that one day He will restore all things to what He originally intended.
In verse thirty, Jesus says, “Truly I tell you.” Or, I tell you the truth, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” They will be accomplished.
APPLICATION:
God is faithful to His word. He does not lie; He says what He will do. What has He promised to do today? He will do it.
Philippians 1:6 CSB - I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
What a precious promise. Truth, not a lie. Faithful, it will ALL come to pass. He will never leave us or forsake us.
PRAYER:
Jesus, thank you for the promise you fulfilled over 2000 years ago. You came as a child. You died a criminal’s death. You conquered sin and death. You defeated our enemy, one we could not! If you can do this, you can certainly take care of the things that concern me. You are a Good and Great Father!

When everything else fades, God’s promises remain sure—His Word never fails and will always be fulfilled.
