Jesus' Sacrifice is Greater than Our Sin
One Offering, Forever Finished, Never Repeated
SCRIPTURE:
Hebrews 10:10 CSB - By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.
OBSERVATION:
In Hebrews 10, the author makes a powerful declaration:
Jesus is the final and ultimate sacrifice. No other offering for sin is needed ever again.
Hebrews 10:14 CSB - For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are sanctified.
We have been perfected forever—a staggering truth. This perfection isn’t fragile because it doesn’t depend on us. If it did, we would have corrupted it already. It’s secure because Jesus alone accomplished it.
With this perfection comes sanctification—being set apart as holy. In the temple, certain objects were sanctified for sacred use. Likewise, we’ve been set apart, not as common, but as consecrated vessels for God's purposes.
And even more—He has chosen not to remember our sins.
Hebrews 10:17 CSB - and I will never again remember their sins and their lawless acts.
Though we often remember our failures, He chooses not to remember them. He holds no record against us. That is grace beyond comprehension.
APPLICATION:
How do we respond to this astonishing truth?
Hebrews 10:22-23 CSB – Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water. Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, since he who promised is faithful.

Therefore the appeal to me is not a call to prepare myself, or to make a way for myself to God. It is simply to come, to draw near, to enter in. This I do through my great High Priest, but this I may do through Him without faltering and without fear. – G. Campbell Morgan
And when the storms of discouragement come—and they will—we anchor ourselves in this truth:
Jesus is greater than our sin. He paid the full price.
Jesus is greater than our sin. He paid the full price.
That exhortation, ‘Let us hold fast,’ might well be written on the cover of every Christian’s Bible. We live in such a changeful age, that we need all to be exhorted to be rooted and grounded, confirmed and established, in the truth. – Charles Spurgeon
Hold fast. Don’t let go of Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the life—and He is enough.
PRAYER:
Jesus, thank You for being the greatest and final sacrifice. Through You, I am cleansed, perfected, and set apart. Thank You for the freedom I have in You—a freedom from guilt, shame, and striving. Help me walk in the newness of life, knowing I am sanctified for Your purposes. Grant me boldness to share this amazing grace with others so they too may find forgiveness, freedom, and restoration in You.

Jesus didn't just cover your sin — He perfected you forever through one sacrifice, and the God who holds all things chooses to remember your sins no more.
