Stop Riding the Waves — Drop the Anchor SCRIPTURE: James 1:5-8 CSB - Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God -- who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly -- and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord, being double-minded and unstable in all his ways. Double-mindedness is not the same as weak faith — the man who cried "Lord, I believe, help my unbelief" was not double-minded but sincerely struggling. God's generosity in giving wisdom has no end or limitation, and He does not require us to earn, demand, or deserve it — only to ask as a beggar who knows they have nothing to offer and everything to receive. Double-mindedness is not cured by trying harder to believe but by bringing our honest, specific need to a God who is always ready to give more than we think to ask.  Read More
